Celebration of love!!

On Saturday we went to a wedding of a couple from our home group and it was amazing!! I LOVE celebrating a marriage with the people that i know and love - it is something so sacred and special!!!! Tim and Pam are an older couple - in their 40s and this wedding was so lovely and chilled - as i would have it if mike and i ever renewed our vows!!
The wedding was at their home in Monteseal about 35/40min from home. Ruthie, Jurgens the kids and the girls came to so we drove in convoy... it felt like a mini road trip!! All we needed was a coffee stop and it would have been perfect :)

The wedding was in their garden and it was just layed out on the lawn...

there was a little bar / gazebo outside where the tea and coffee etc was kept...

My gorgeous husband and I - we always think of our wedding day when we go to a wedding... so special reliving the best day of our lives!!

Pam and Tim got married just infront of this little bridge - out in the open and totally free... just like them!!

They live on this huge property with two little granny flats at the bottom of the garden. In the one garden there was the cutest little jack Russel cross - he was very fair with a cute little brown nose and blue/green eyes!!

He has this huge tummy and i just wanted to take him home... i nearly tucked him in my bag!!

after the ceremony we had champagne, snacks tea and coffee and we all just chilled on blankets and pillows on the grass...

Friendly visit!

Last night Garth and Tams came for dinner - we just love them! Tams and i have the same sense of humor and Garth and mike are both such lovely nerds!
Tams bought me the most beautiful flowers - i was super spoilt!!!

This is Garth and Tams or Tam Tam as i like to call her...

I made Chicken Korma and mike did basmathi rice - YUM!!!

With strawberry's and chocolate for pudding!!

The boys got all excited about the old series called "airwolf" that mike got from a friend... (as i said lovely nerds!!)

... and this was Tams and i bored :)

and all the while the pups just curled up on our blanket (i say our blanket cause it was mine but the pups love it so much i decided to share it with them !) - they were so good!! i was proud of my kiddies!

We really had such a lovely chilled evening!! The best way to spend a friday night is with friends!!

Spring braai!

Spring has sprung and life is good!! Its getting warm and sunny now which is lovely after a cold winter. Kim's invited us for a spring braai last night and it was awesome getting together with them. Two of our closest couple friends are Wayne and kims and Ross and kims... we all get along so so well - we call ourselves the "inner circle" :)

Kimgy (another nickname for Kim Galloway) gave me this really groovy spring day gift - i nice fresh color nail polish and a bible verse -

Spring = happiness!!

Browsing...

Today mike and i went browsing around the shops, the "redecorating" bug has bitten us and we felt like browsing around and getting some inspiration!
I love window shopping!!!
We started off looking at some bathroom stuff - now keep in mind these are our dream home items - we don't really have the cash to do this but getting ideas of what we can work towards is lovely!!
We would like a stand-alone bath... i can just dream about taking hour baths and reading in the bath!!

and some new taps....

We would love a nice cosy mat for our bedroom.... greens and creams are the colours we're looking for!!

We then stopped for a pie and coffee break - a pie for Michael and a coffee for me - we needed some energy for the rest of our browsing!!

This is what our want for our patio - perfect for snoozing of relaxing after a nice jacuzzi session! I can just see myself reading with the pups lying by me and mike snuggled next to me - or even better him reading to !!!

I really really like this but its a bit out of our price range - will keep looking!!

We then made our way to Mr Price home (mike will start work with Mr Price on monday) and they had some amazing things!!!
we want this clock for our lounge - will hopefully get it soon!!

Mike fell in LOVE with this furniture set - he would really like this for our patio!!!

what a lovely day browsing!!

We got home and did some DIY - filled in some holes in our wall that have been there for EVER!!!

i also FINALLY found some more frames for our puppy pictures! YAY!! Tims knows he is going to be famous on our wall soon!!

How to place them?? This took a bit of time deciding!!

SO nice to have these pictures finally framed!!

WATCH THIS SPACE to see how this going look on our wall - we need to just let the pollyfiller dry, paint the wall and then hang these!!

I love days like today!!

Day off...

Today and tomorrow i have the day off and it stated well...
i have gone to gym, cleaned my house, done some dishes and we have taken the doggies for a walk all before 9am - gotta love days like today!
The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, the doggies love us for taking them for a walk - i decided not to sleep in today but rather to get up and get going and i feel good!!
We are just having some breakfast then off to the shops to do some browsing - we are scoping out some new patio furniture but mike and i aren't in agreement about that we want... so off to window shop we go!!!

Only 4 more sleeps till mike starts his new job!!
