Tinsel - December 6th

Oh my - what can we say about Tinsel... i found him like this today-

The little rotter tried to steal my wallet - mike says he was just trying to get some tuck money BUT i recon he was trying to steal my credit card so he can buy some christmas presents online!! GOSH!

kids camp!!

Kids camp was AWESOME!! we loved it... every second!!! We left on Friday afternoon on a bus full of kiddies! i swear 10 minutes after we arrived the kids found the pool and just jumped in!! and it was cold!

I will note only a few highlights of the weekend cause it was jammed packed and totally awesome!! Some highlights to name a few...

The fire was HOT so Jarryd made a contraption to roast his marshmallow :) Cleaver boy!!

On Saturday we had planned ALL these activities for the kids - an obstacle course of sorts with points and clues etc etc. We had our groups of kiddies for the whole weekend - for our small groups etc and this was my group! They were awesome!! I had two naughty little boys in my group (the two kneeling) and i absolutely LOVED them!!

This was the obstacle i manned - gutterball - they had to make it about 40 meters with the ball not touching the group!

I must say our group came stone last over the whole weekend... but at least they had fun!!
For lunch on Saturday we and a burger and chips and the chips were SO delicious!! Best i have tasted in sooo long! Suppose the weather being cold helped!

After lunch the kids hit the pool again!

On Saturday night the kids were literally bouncing off the walls - we were sure they would be tired after the days activities but they weren't! after our session of memory verse, worship and our talk we eventually put on a DVD for them to settle them. we watched "night at the museum 2" and that seems to put them all to sleep! after the movie had finished (and i also woke up from being snuggled on mikes chest - sigh) we took all the girls to their dorms and let the boys crash in the hall until they woke up and eventually stumbled to their rooms!!

hee hee, on Sunday morning i came back from my shower and mike was still snuggled in his bed - lucky boy!!

Mike and i infront of our CSI board! The theme for the weekend was "who do you say I am" so we like a CSI vibe to "investigate" the death and resurrection of Jesus and from there who the kids say Jesus is... Mike and i were involved in this play - he was the tech geek and i was a detective. it went down really well!!

What an amazing weekend!!! Mike said on Sunday evening that he was bummed camp was over and that basically sums up how much we loved it!!

Tinsel - December 5th

Oh my... Tinsel has been up to no good these days!! Look where we found him this morning...

Holly and mike were stunned that he was trying to steal mikes sweeties...

holly tried to give him a talking to but he had non of it - so it came to this...

Maybe now he'll be a little bit less naughty!!!

Tinsel - December 4th

We arrived home from kids camp today and didn't have to look very far to see Tinsel... when we walked in the day we spotted this cheeky guy!

I think he was mad that we left him alone last night so he stole all mikes undies and socks and hung them on our christmas tree!! I don't know why he targeted mikes underwear stash but hey, glad it wasn't mine :)

We wont be leaving this guy alone for the weekend again - we learnt our lesson that's for sure!!

Tinsel - December 3rd.

We were away on kids camp this weekend and only came home on Sunday the 4th so we told Tinsel to spend a night at the north pole hanging out with Santa!
I hope he had a good time!!

Tinsel - December 2nd

Oh my, tinsel was being good when we found him, he was taking some "me" time and catching up on his reading :)

Tinsel - December 1st.

Seeing as it is the December 1st "Tinsel" our precious elf on a shelf became alive and was found in mikes room this morning!

Poor little guy was trying to get into the Christmas spirit and was writing a Christmas carol for us, he must have been using mikes guitar to figure out a melody– you can see he had some writers blog (all the first attempts crumpled up) He seems to have gotten it right eventually and this is what he had when we found him…

This was the carol he wrote -

Snowball.

I made myself a snowball,
As perfect as could be,
I thought I'd keep it as a pet,
And let it sleep with me.

I made it some pajamas,
And a pillow for its head,
Then last night it ran away,
But first - it wet the bed!
