Home ideas...

This year we are going to make it a home year - we have lots of ideas and lots of "wants" so we began with ordering a new couch for our lounge!!
I love my couch now, its the first new couch mike and i bought together when we bought our place BUT its just not big enough... we need more seating!
My special couch now (sad to be selling it)but it only seats 3 people comfortable...

This is the couch we ordered and it should arrive at the end of January (something to look forward to!!)

CANT WAIT!! Now we are just praying that we sell our current couch before we get our new one... we'll see! I got some birthday and christmas money and found these lovely cushions for our new couch!

We also FINALLY found a mirror for our bedroom... our walls are still bare so this fills up the space nicely!!

... and on the home streak we also finally found a decently priced chest of drawers for our bedroom to put under our new mirror! I needs a lot of work but looking forward to the project! We need to sand it, prime it, paint it white and find some groovy handles!

Seeing as its the new year i also felt the need to do some spring cleaning... i have finished yet (having a lazy day)but our kitchen, lounge and bedroom is all clean and tidy!! One thing that always amazes me is all the extra coat hangers i find when we spring clean...

Nice and tidy... makes my heart happy!

I hope my laziness doesn't linger for too long cause i want to get the rest of my house spik and span!

The next few things on the list of things to do is do some woodwork on our front gate and bars, the garage needs a good clean (so my car can fit back in there) and price closing in the back courtyard and make it into a gorgeous laundry room (my dream!!)
So yay for 2012 and yay for home decor and yay for DIY!!!
God bless my poor husband whose head spins whenever i say the words "babes, i have an idea"....

Pups!!

Being on holiday has made the pups VERY happy... they LOVE having someone at home and they have become more and more bonded to me as the days have worn on!! we have captured some lovely pics of them sleeping like the precious little things they are!!

Moms birthday.

My moms birthday was on the 30th December and seeing as mike and i were on leave we took her out for the day! We went to Mitchell Park...

Its a lovely park with a playground, huge grounds where families can picnic and play ball games there then they have a HUGE animal park.... we saw buck, monkeys, HUGE tortoises, crocks and many many more...
our favorite however was this little guy!!

I named him Alfred (after batman's butlers name) as he was keeping watch over his two other friends... he was perched up high and would have told them if there was any danger! Too precious!

After this we had some tea and scones, a trip to wakaberry and then to fetch some food for everyone for dinner! I love celebrating my moms birthday and spoiling her a bit for everything she does for us!

Happy new year!!

Our new year was a very chilled one, just the way we like it!! We had booked tickets for the movie "Sherlock Holmes 2" and we LOVED it!! Then we went home, dragged our mattress into the lounge for a camp out and watched movies till midnight (well i feel asleep at about 11:45pm but mike woke me at 12pm with a happy new year kiss)

I woke a bit earlier than the rest of the family and this is what i woke up to

I am really looking forward to 2012, i feel this year has big things in store for us!!!
We have already done some DIY to certain areas on our house.... looking forward to doing a bit more and kick starting this year off on the right foot!!!

Christmas day...

Oh man what a lovely break!! we have been busy since christmas and enjoying some chill / family time!! Christmas was awesome and we had such a lovely time... it started off on christmas eve with our new pj's - check out our family photo!

Christmas morning we woke up to some freshly made tea in our new christmas mugs and tea pot - tinsel surprised us!!

The pups also got some new threads to wear, some christmas bandanas!!

I made us each a reindeer coke to have with lunch...

we went to church with both of our parents which was awesome then got home to open some pressies - they pups started off with their pressies!

I played santa and handed out all the pressies...

Then pressie time!!!

After pressies it was LUNCH TIME and the food was amazing!! The best part of dinner is the crackers and the silly presents you get!!

The food was tooo delicious!! My mom cooks like a machine...

The day ended well with a bit of a tan by the pool and some quality time reading my kindle... pure bliss!!

Then a swim with my husband... the pups joined in the fun and swam with us (or fell in a few times) Holly even chilled on the lilo with mike for a bit...

What an amazing chilled christmas!!!
