Cupcake decorating...

On Tuesday night my mom and I went to cupcake decorating course - it was so much fun!! We arrived and found out that it was themed - under the sea theme which we didn't really expect BUT it was fun non the less....

The bakery we did this course at was called Zolitas!

There were a few of us at table, we each had our own work station...

 A few things in store to look at.

These are the cupcakes we had to make - yoh!

 This is Zolita - she taught us all about cakes and icing...

 YUMMY butter icing - I am not a fan of icing at all but this was yummy! I am so keen to make some myself...

My first two attempts - I think I did well - I did a swirrly and a wavy one...

 I did four with butter icing and then the other two with fondant...

 My most favorite one - the wavy one!

 We broke for tea and had some lemon meringue cupcakes...

Then the fun started - we had to make our cup cake toppings - this believe it or not is a whale!! Mike didn't think so but I created him so I know!! I named him Rusta cause he looked kinda high :)

 And this head belongs to Oliver the Octopus :)

 And this is the end result - I recon they came out quite well!!!

 Mike was quite impressed!

I could not bare to eat any of my precious creations so I sent them with mike to work and they were really enjoyed by this work peeps - Michelle said she at Olivers head first then one leg at a time!! POOR little guy, eaten in the prime of his life!!
I am really keen to do my own cupcakes and ice them with butter icing and send them to mikes work for round two... I just need an afternoon spare to do it!

A few randoms...

A few randoms from the last few weeks / days...
1) I am once again trying to get my life in order, I reading a health book (normally while I gym to get me hyped up) and also a book on how to organize my home and life - Thanks Jayde!! Loving it - and with that comes the need to be more healthy and happy and get my eating sorted out!

I have had three prefect eating days - yay.... so I'm feeling good!

2) I made mike and I a healthy breakfast the other day and of course, as it happens on most days, my oats boiled over! I was chatting too much and not watching it enough...

I added some banana and honey to make it delicious! and delicious it was!

3) Mike and I went out for lunch yesterday and had some lovely healthy food from Kauia...

 Mike had  a chicken ceaser sandwich and i had a thai veg wrap! We shared a cup of coffee like we always do - sharing is caring :)

4) Mike eyes twinkled when he told me Mr price now stock Liverpool shirts.... so I got him one!!

 If hes this happy then I am too!! Precious boy!

5) I had to have blood taken the other day and I am the WORST baby ever when a needle appears... Mike thought it was funny that Barney was helping me get through this ordeal...

Love my randoms, they make up the moments of our life!!

Wednesday freebee...

Today on our way to work, in the traffic someone came up the our car and handed me a free chocolate - what a lovely way to start the day! Of course Mike got it for work so that made for a good day all around...

Weekend update...

Our weekend update....
Friday I received my new phone, I upgraded and the one thing I am not happy about is that my new phone is black not white BUT I cant complain too much cause everything else about it rocks! I now have this awesome camera flash now too which will help my blogging :)

 The pups were fascinated and wanted to know what I had got (I think they were jealous dad didn't come home with a present for them too)

 I had no patience with this box - I had to RIP it!!

Yipppeee

 My precious husband transferring all my data from one phone to the other so I don't have to worry - bless his heart!

On Saturday we had the privilege of supporting some of our friends by attending their brothers funeral - I hate funerals and I really just get a huge knot in my stomach just thinking of going BUT when its a friend and they are hurting there is no where else I would be. The victory in all of this is Deon's brother gave his life to Jesus a few days before he passed away so the victory was won!! He was told a week before he passed away that he had a brain tumor.... a week later he was gone! Shocking and sad and so horrible BUT it would have been so much worse if he we knew he didn't know God!
That was first thing Saturday morning and after all that and some shopping we realized that we were hungry and hadn't eaten (the stress of the funeral I tell you) so mike took us out for Brunch... it was a lovely time to chat and kind of just say a few things that were on our hearts with contemplating funerals and death! It was a cool time actually!

Saturday night was pizza night.... 

 Home made pizza is the best!

 I made mike a cal-zone with the leftover dough for his lunch today - apparently it was GOOD!

 Our evening ended with us watching some 24 and eating our delicious pizza- Tim's ended up on my lap and slept there all night - sigh! Made me feel loved!

Why cant weekends last a little bit longer?
