Rocky bay...

Yesterday we spent the day with friends at Rocky Bay - about 45min from Durbs.... we were asked to camp but I thought i may be a little uncomfortable so we decided to just spend the day!!
Mike played paint ball in the morning (i love how this boy loves paintball - fun, outdoors, man time!!) and then we headed off. The weather was a bit miffy here - raining and miserable!

We left at 11:20am...
Mike and I packed out camping chairs and off we went -
and of course baby was invited and I brought my huge tummy along for the trip!!
We had in tow our baby name booked and laughed at some name choices on the way..... what do you think of BAKER Brits if its a boy :) Mike wasn't keen - i like the idea of our baby being a big old bakerman!!
We were giggling and trying to make up names that can be cool to name our child so its initials would be funny....
Even though it was a short drive we stopped for some tea and hot chocolate to make it feel road trippy!
The weather was lovely - not huge sunshine so it wasnt HOT an the beach was stunning! We had some fun taking some pictures!!

This tummy is GROWING and growing out of any and all clothes - gosh!!

The boys talking about cameras and taking pics....
The water was AMAZING!! I was super keen for a swim but so lazy to change and put on my costume...
The girls walked along picking up shells while the boys walked along kicking a ball like most boys do!
A couple of rolls in the sand and some minor injuries while the boys played beach soccer then off to the pools to cool off and have a swim! Back to the campsite to sit, chill and talk nonsense - best time ever!!!
This was our view from the site - amazing!!!
We had some tea and cupcakes for afternoon tea and mike pulled up our cooler box for me to use as a foot rest - heaven!
The girls when to sit on the beach to chat while the boys starting the braai and got the meat a cooking - or so we though! We got back some time later and found them semi-braaing BUT mostly playing LUDO! Mike was stoked to have won and flashed me gang signs when i took a pic!!
Let me just say - 3 hours later the meat still wasn't cooked and the little bit that was cooked was a bit charred and full of ash :) It was a huge joke!!! The girls couldn't wait for the meat so we dug into the salads while the boys insisted that the meat was "nearly ready"....
Eventually it was the fires fault the meat wasn't cooking and the boys switched to using the scottle to cook the meat!!! Lets just say the salads were the highlight of dinner!!!
After some more tea, LOTS OF LAUGHING, a lengthily discussion about whether or not raw pasta gives you worms (don't ask), some more laughing we decided it was time to get going!
We arrived home just one 11pm, had a sleepy shower and headed to bed! I LOVED it and we promised to camp a couple of times a year at least!!!! We are fully kitted and really want out children to grow up camping like we did.... I cannot wait for our next camping trip - baby will be with us hopefully!!!

32 weeks!

32 weeks - EEEEEEEK - only 8 more weeks!!!!!!!!!!!

My niece and nephew say i look like I'm holding a bowling ball..... from the mouth of kids :)

baby your room is nearly ready, your bag is packed and now you must just grow strong and healthy so you can come out screaming blue murder :)

Tangled up....

Mike and I are not huge celebrators of valentines day.... i really and truly feel loved by Mike every day so on days like this its fun to celebrate BUT we dont feel the need for presents and all of that.....
Mike writes the most beautiful letters, he always has and i really hope he will always spoil me with a letter - i need nothing else from him as a present, these letters are my favorite things in the whole world!!- we had said 'no valentines" this year.... we were just going to spend the evening at home together! BUT this precious man spoilt me with a letter and a Tropica juice (i am loving these at the moment)...
In this letter was some  song lyrics for a song he heard and it really hit home! Made me feel like the luckiest girl in the world!!

The song was "Tangled up in you" by Stained.

You’re my world, the shelter from the rain
You’re the pills that take away my pain
You’re the light that helps me find my way
You’re the words when I have nothing to say
And in this world where nothing else is true

Here I am still tangled up in you
I'm still tangled up in you Still tangled up in you

You’re the fire that warms me when I’m cold

You’re the hand I have to hold as I grow old
You’re the shore when I am lost at sea
You're only thing that I like about me

And in this world where nothing else is true

Here I am still tangled up in you I'm still tangled up in you

How long has it been since this storyline began

And I hope it never ends and goes like this forever
In this world where nothing else is true

Here I am still tangled up in you, tangled up in you I’m still tangled up in you Still tangled up in you

After being together for over 10 years and married for almost 7 years this means so much!!

AND on top of all of that when i arrived at work i got a message saying "check your phone under music" and he had downloaded it onto my phone for me to hear!!

PRECIOUS! I feel so loved!

V-day at work....

It was really sweet - all the ladies were called into the boadroom and we were treated to a valentines day breakfast! We all had to wear a splash of red - I really had nothing to wear so I fished out a dress that still fits (shock and horror) and added a little red jersey!
There was a lovely spread....

It was such a lovely way to start the day!!!

I little pick me up...

This is something i needed to get me through the day....
It gave me a little joy and energy!

Bits and pieces...

Today I managed to do a few things i have been meaning to do in a while - after a Monday and Tuesday of feeling rotten i woke up this morning with a little more energy than i had on those days and decided to just do what i needed it today!
First on the list was get some baby friendly washing liquid and stay soft - i was unaware that baby needed special washing liquid but it seems he / she does!!
I have packed baby bag BUT needed to wash a few things to go into it like baby's receiving blanket and a few other things.....  One down!

Second on the list is I was in need (or want depending on how you see it) of a toiletry bag - I am starting to pack my hospital bag and on Saturday we stoked up on all brand new toiletries - too much fun!
I am IN LOVE with Lou Harvey bags.... I was debating getting these two - one for toiletries and one for make up but then i saw a bigger one and thought one would be better!!
I chose this one - lots of pockets for everything!!
and took much delight in packing it! I love toiletries.... really love them!
Two down.

Third of all (and all i had the energy to do) was spruce up babys toy box and door.... I went to get some wooden lettering, some paint and go to it!
"toys and books" for baby's toy box and "baby" for its door - I will add the name under baby once its born....
I really love how they turned out -
It just added a splash of colour!
three down.

Now i am exhausted and need a nap :)
Still got sorting and washing and packing and cleaning to do in baby's room - praying for the energy soon!

V-day picnic!

A little while ago I bought a groupon for a gourmet picnic, like the one Mike and I went on for our 6 year anniversary!! It turns out Debs and them also bought one so we all decided to go together as a pre valentines outing! It was so lovely going with everyone!
We drove up with Debs and Al....

 Us and Eugene....
Mike photo bombing :)
 The girls...
I really love how this is set up, each couple had their own blanky and table....

We took our video camera with us and had fun doing a little filming :)
It was a HOT day so this was mikes drink of choice.... nice and refreshing!!
There were 5 couples all together...
This was my drink of choice - YUM! Milo milkshake!
 Who was in the hammock??
It was Dyl :) he made me laugh!!
 Mike was swinging and swinging...
Our food arrived in a basket - one for each couple..... I love little bits of everything so this was just to my taste!!

I love this man cause he doesn't mind carrying my bag around when it gets too heavy for me!

As we drove in we saw these sticks.... from here they look like nothing BUT as you walk up to it it forms the face of Nelson Mandela - amazing piece of art!!

What a lovely day spent with friends celebrating the joys of just being able to be together and have fun!!
