A night in...

Last night we decided an evening in is just what we needed! i got two dvd's for us and we had a lovely relaxing evening!!!!
The pups kept us rather entertained before the dvd's began - Timmy used my neck as a chair and was very comfy!!!

Nala came to sleep over on Thursday night and Friday night, she is my mom and dads doggy so she is Timmy and Hollys cousin and they LOVE her...

Mike got us a pizza and the relaxing began!!

The three pups napped by me through the first movie - i love snuggling with my pups!! We watched "i am number 4" which i really enjoyed and "unknown" which was also really cool... we are action / suspense movie lovers so these were the prefect choices for us! we LOVE our dvd's, movies and series...

Nala eventually wondered off to get more comfy... you prob cant see where she went...

She curled up on the single chair and she didnt move!! she was in puppy heaven!

weekend away - ahhhh lovely!!

This past weekend we went to Zinkwasi (down the coast) for the weekend with some friends of ours! It was LOVELY and getting away was much needed!
This is off the patio - right on the beach!!

This is the patio and this goes into the lounge / dining room etc! Its a family cottage and the use it like a timeshare between the family! It really is so lovely!!

Ob saterday the sun was shining BUT the wind was blowing HARD! we went for a walk on the beach.. just Mike and i! Was kinda romantic!

I proclaimed my love for mike in the shape of a heart :)

We were just messing around and having some fun!!!

I asked mike to draw me something in the sand.. he did his classic Michael signature that i LOVE!!

I then decided i also wanted to draw mike a lovely picture....

.... i didnt do a great job at all....

Did i mention how windy it was!!

The evening was a bit miserable and chilly.... the weather changed quite rapidly!!

We went with Wayne, Kim, Ross and kim!! best friendies for sure!

Sunday morning the boys played some cricket!! It was a lovely weekend all around!! We look forward to the next one!

It was HOT on Sunday.... this was the temperature on the way home!!

New doggy beds!!

The doggy kennel that mike made the pups was lovely but it started getting on my nerves as it always looked so messy. I thought and thought of how to change it and i came up with another idea after seeing something similar onine once!!
I went to our local hospice shop and got

two old suitcases and a new doggy basket - all for R30 - cant beat that!!

i also got some matching material for the suitcases...

the suitcases were really dusty and dirty so i needed to clean me off!! warm water and soap always works!!

Clean clean clean!!

the next step was opening them up and stuffing them with pillows!

i then covered the pillows with the matching material, filling up the doggy basket and adding a few teddies!!

a few more personal touches...

and the pups LOVE their new beds... they really do!!! I love them too!

Sunday church rugby!

On sunday was the first game of the rugby world cup and SA was playing! Our church is really awesome and they set up a huge big screen after the service and we all gathered together to watch the first match! SA won yay - i am not a huge ruby fan at all but i know that its good that we won :)
We nipped out after church to get some lunch and then brought it back to eat at the game!!

They make the most delicious Mediterranean veggies!! that was my choice!!

Our church has such a lovely entrance area - divine hanging lights and lantern!! This is where we gather and have coffee and cappuccinos before and after the services!

They hired two jumping castles so the kiddies could play!!

The kids were LOVING life!!

They also set up a couple braais and sold wors rolls or you could take your own meat and braai it there!!! Mat was doing the braaing - he and i do kids min together and he is part of the YOYL team (year of your life) - he has given a year of his life to serve the church full time, its awesome!!!

Watching some rugby!! I love the atmosphere when a whole group of us get together to enjoy something socially!!

New gym and take aways....

Oh my gosh, today i started gyming at

Muscle and Fitness gym as Curves has closed down and it was awesome!!! They have a ladies circuit which i did (adjustable resistance which is so lovely) twice and i ran on the treadmill and did the health flyer thing and that was only in one tiny section! They have so much to offer its great! I plan on doing some classes too like spinning (5:15am - eeek) step, aerobics and SO SO many more!! I think they have over 20 different classes! My aim is to try and average 3 hour sessions a week as well as doing some strength training as well. I also have an hour personal training session tomorrow and i am scared... i am already stiff from today's work out so tomorrow is going to be hectic!!! The best thing about a hard gym session is the nice hot shower that follows - ahhhh!! Bliss!!

one other lovely thing about Mikes new job is he can order meals from work and have them for dinner - they have a list of 5 meals to choose from and they are only R15!!!
There was mac and cheese, soup, pies... Mikes having Chinese chicken and noodles with stir fry veggies!!

I am having a baby spinach and rocket salad with roast butternut, bringal, olives and onion marmalade!!

YUM!!! cant wait for dinner now!!!
