Tinsel - December 20th

Today is Mikes birthday and Tinsel was very excited!!!! He decorated our lounge and even bought mike a "happy birthday badge" (which mike wouldn't wear to work so i pinned it to his lunch box :)
This is what we walked into -

Tinsel was hanging on the clock holding mikes prized badge... mike promised to wear it to dinner tonight - we'll see :)

Ag shame, Tinsel was looking rather sad today when we found him... looking lovingly at Santa cause he seems to be missing him!
We caught him with a few tears in his eyes!

Dolphins by starlight!!

On Thursday night we went to watch "Dolphins by starlight" and it was so lovely!! I LOVED it... Kate came straight from work and changed by us quick... she came out in the a plastic raincoat and it cracked me up!!!

we started out with dinner at pizza place that was totally delicious!! Best pizza we've had in ages!!

My parents also brought their funny raincoats cause the weather wasn't great! Mike said they look like tourists :)

It was rainy and cold BUT that didn't dampen the excitement of the show!!

Party time!

So yesterday was my birthday and it was a goood day!! it started off with Tinsel delivering a present to me, opening pressies in bed, mike making me some breakfast and then we headed off for a couples massage!!... MAN it was divine!! full body massage and a hot stone massage... pure bliss....
There is only one things that didn't go right - my pants ripped just before our massage - right near the bottom (gosh) so after our massage i made mike pop into the shops so could get a change of clothes - i found a really nice dress so i was happy!
After our blissful massage we headed over to pick up some lunch and meet our parents at the botanical gardens!

We arrived and found our perfect picnic spot... and my mom hung up a birthday banner - yay!! I was excited!!!

Present time, i got super spoilt!!! TOO SPOILT! (wearing the dress that i bought and wore out the shop :)

My dad brought his HUGE new camera lens and enjoyed taking some pics...

Then mike took a shot and taking some pics... he got some good ones!!

... in the evening we went to a masked ball for the precious Mauritian - it was Manons birthday too and it was also a going away part for Mads and Manon.
The only thing that bummed me out was Mike and i have picked up some sort of tummy bug and our tummy's were not happy... i didn't even have dinner but we managed to enjoy ourselves anyway!!

Mans and i, the two birthday girls! She is leaving to go back home tomorrow, gonna miss her LOTS!!!

Mads is leaving after christmas and i am going to miss her lots too! They both gave so much of themselves this year!!

Bedtime was well received after the days festivities.... we left the part earlyish like two old people but really needed some sleep!

Tinsel, our naught little elf had some fun last night... he decided i would be fun to "mess with" a photo on our fridge!

Today Tinsel was found outside with...my birthday present!! YAY!

Tim's and holly kept him company until mike let him in!
