Weekend away....

A few weekends ago we went away to watch my brother ride in an offroad bike race - completley forgot to show you all photos! Gosh, baby brain is real people!!
We went to Bulwer and it was FREEZING and RAINING and COLD the whole weekend.... we ended up bunking with my brother in his very rustic chalet instead of camping and needless to say we actually came home a day early as it was toooo cold and wet to enjoy it!

Mike ended up on the floor on a mattress with Ollie next to him.... not very glamorous!

 My boy bundled up in about 3 layers... playing away at 5:30am!

It really was freezing!!

 Even the doggies needed a blanky to lie under!

We used the communal lounge with the divine fire blazing thanks to pops.... he loves fires!!

We ate in the caravans patio area..... Oliver loved spending time with "che che"...

It was a nice weekend BUT the wet and the cold wasn't easy to handle with a 4month old.... lets hope our next camping trip is much warmer!!!

Baby canvas...

Our maternity / baby canvas finally arrived!!! I love it!

 We have put it in our passage for now.... still decided where it needs to go!

I must say this brightens up my life!

I heart coffee :)

I heart coffee.... with trying to loose weight coffee has become my treat instead of actual food treats - my secret is a add a little low fat ideal milk into it and it tastes just like wimpy coffee - delicious!
I finally took my little one cup coffee plunger to work and seeing as I have been up since 4:45am with precious Oliver i felt i deserved a cup of coffee before breakfast!

My favorite coffee is Mastertons but I need to order from PE so i bought some "house of coffee" in the meantime - its actually delicious!!

 Why does coffee always taste better in travel mug? Especially a starbucks mug from a friend....

Early morning story.

Our boy woke up at 4:45am this morning and wouldn't go back to sleep... what did this mean for us.... STORY TIME!! We thought we'd make the most of it and I read our boy the cutest story ever!!

They have the most gorgeous pop up pictures!!

Oliver loved it - this is now going to be a morning tradition (and maybe even a evening tradition, possibly a lunch time tradition too :)

Shop shop shopping!

Yesterday we popped to the shops together  for the first time in a long time - we shopped, had brunch and then shopped some more! Oliver was the cutest little passenger ever and was SO good!! So happy we feel we can resume our normal life activities now... life is good!!
How big is he now - my goodness! He doesn't cry in the car anymore :)

We stopped at wimpy for some brunch.... this was our old weekend tradition so it felt good going again! I had my favorite breakfast and coffee (wimpy has the BEST coffee ever) and Mike had a burger - boy food!!
And we took turns playing with Ollie!

Ollie has outgrown his no. 2 nappies and we still had 3 packets left so we returned them and got this awesome stroller for Oliver (with money left over - hell yeah!!)

His pram is lovely but so big so this will be for beach walks, small shopping trips etc - so happy!

Womans day.

Today we got taken for a picnic lunch to the Botanical gardens to celebrate womans day! It was all the admin ladies who were invited...

 We ate yummy food (the first break in my diet for a month)

 Won some cool prizes

 and chilled on the grass....

What a lovely day to start the weekend.
