"I want to be like daddy..."

Our child is fascinated with his daddy's glasses... we got him a pair of his own and every now and again he brings them to us and wants to wear them!

 Can he get any cuter than this??

Summer is upon us and my child is growing up so fast.... he looks so big in his new PJ's!

 When pops is around Lolly sees no one else... thank you Lord for grandparents that love my child as much as we do!

Playdate...

My child is getting BIG! I remember going out to eat when he would just be sleeping in this carrier (not nearly filling it) and watching the bigger kiddies play.... now that bigger kiddie is my child! When did that happen!
He loves to launch himself down the slide on his tummy, a very brave boy!

 Mike and I take turns playing with him in the playroom but when breakfast arrives he has learnt its time to sit and eat!

He is also fascinated with fitting things that fit into other things like his juice box and the straw - he will spend ages putting it and pulling it out. I love our Saturday morning breakfasts....

My boy loves....

My boy loves many things these days... to name a few...
1.He loves my brush and brushing my hair.

2. He LOVES his food.

3. He loves to bath.

4. and he loves my tuppaware cupboard!

I am happy when he is happy!

When I miss my boy...

Often I find myself at work missing my boy.... I then just send a quick message to Sylvia and ask how he is. She then knows I am missing him and she sends me a picture which makes my whole day!

We are so blessed to have such a wonderful person caring for our child... God really does provide everything we need!

Mr sleepy....

My child needs his sleep and by bedtime he either points to his bottle and asks for bed or get this blanky and asks for bed or get crocky and asks for bed....

He is like his momma - he needs his sleep!!

Family time...

With my brother and his family visiting from Cape Town we had lots of famil time... we had a braai at our place and it was a nice sunny day so we ate and played on the patio!

Lots of noise.... lots of food and lots of fun.

After busy days... and long weekends a cuddle on the couch is sometimes needed!

A lovely reminder...

I love these little reminders of our little Oliver around the house...

 Sometimes crocky becomes my little comfort when Lolly isnt around....

Please may I always appriciate all the little reminders around the house as apposed to being upset that these little reminders make my house unitdy...

Learning new things...

Our child has been learning new things daily.... the other day he handed me the front door keys and pointed to the keyhole and ask me to open it... WHAT? How did he know that.... he is looking and he is learning all the time. He amazes me!
We have a little cabinet on the patio and Lolly was battling to put the key in the lock so I showed him how to hold the key and how to insert it and my boy did it.

A little boy genius I recon?

Bike track...

The other day we took Wes to the bike track to release some energy...
Bethy and Lolly came with to watch Wes ride....

 Wes was zooming around like a machine with only a few wipe outs!

 As soon as Lolly is big enough I am sure that we will be frequent visitors of the BMX track.

A nice little bit time outside in the fresh air...
