Mike and I have been a bit lazy lately, life has been steam rolling us so the house work has taken a back seat. I am on a mission now to get my life in order, things organised and get going... we have dedicated 1 hour each evening to doing something to get our life in order.
Here are the few things we have accomplished so far -
1) we finally put up the shelves in the kitchen above the microwave. Extra storage and I think its pretty. I am going to swap out the red mugs with some in a different colour - yellow perhaps...
2) I also finally organised my lovely BIG spice and cutlery draw... this draw makes me feel spoilt!
3) We also started our plate wall in the kitchen, this wall surprised me the most as it turned out SO much better than expected.
There are still a few gaps which will be filled when I find the perfect plates to fill the gaps....
We are getting there.... slowly but surely! The drawer under the sink still needs to be fixed... the thick white skirtings need to go up (when money allows) and we have a lot to clean up and throw out BUT we are getting there...
I feel like I can breath again....
On Sunday Mike and I did a little DIY - pics to follow shortly :) While we were busy Lolly was busy finding new treasures... we stole the shelves from his room for the kitchen and on the one shelf were a few soft toys that he had never met. He became fast friends with bunny and a yellow puppy named Wafi. He ran away hugging them both.
We have a basket where our keys and remotes live - I decided this needs to be moved to a drawer and this is what Lolly thought the basket should be used for -
For him and bunny to sit in.
Glad it will be used for something :) Love this kid!
Lolly was invited to a party on Saturday..... we are lucky enough to tag along and eat his party pack :)
We are really enjoying the parties and seeing how Lolly interacts with the other kiddies.
Elisha turned a whole 4 years old...
His party was at Giba gorge where all the kiddies rode their bikes on a baby track, lolly will soon be big enough to ride along with them.... he was fascinated with the kids helmets.
Mug in a cup, can it really be that good??
YES it can! I made it for pudding last night and it really was delicious - 70seconds in the microwave and done. I added a little piece of chocolate to the center of the batter before cooking and I recon that made all the difference!
I know Wella makes this often and mastered the recipe.... this chocolate one is a perfectly balanced recipe... now I have NO excuse to spoil Mike with pudding whenever he wants :)
