Renovations

We are in the middle of renovations - our bathrooms are getting a total makeover but we have also decided to do our flooring and paint every wall in our home which means LOTS OF MESS!

We went shopping for tiles with our kiddies and they drove us slightly nuts when choosing tiles BUT that's what being a parent means :)

 I fell in LOVE with this tile - I was hoping to have our one bathroom wall with this tile but this tiny little tile, as beautiful as it is, cost R336 per tile - NOT per square meter - per tile. It will cost us over R8000 to have one half shower wall tiled.... but its so pretty! Sad we couldn't afford it.

 We finally settled on these tiles and I cannot wait to see what the floors look covered in this!

 This is our lounge currently - a huge mess!!! Our whole house looks like this.....

We have been camping in our bedroom, Ollie included as his room is being repainted, while the rest of our house has been upside down - C Bears room is the only room untouched and seeing as our room is going to be painted today we might all just sleep in C Bears room tonight :)

C Bear however felt a bit left out so she came to sleep with us at some stage last night...

I am SO excited for all of these changes - with the walls being freshly painted it feels like a fresh start - this has driven me to clear out and clean up and get our home sorted out. Minimal is my new love language.

Tiny ponytail...

21 months later and this is the smallest ponytail ever :)
My kids seem to take YEARS to grow their hair - in this case C Bears fluff - but we did it, we managed to make a ponytail.

Crunchie treat...

A precious friend dropped off a batch of crunchies last weekend when we were quarantined at home with Ollies chicken pox. C Bear LOVED these and even followed Mike around when he dished up a crunchie and ended up stealing it!

I am thankful for delicious treats and even more grateful for precious friends!

A week of fun...

My boy, despite being sick, has had a wonderful week with his Che Che and Pappa!

A week of sickness...

We have had a week of sickness - Ollie got the chicken pox and what I thought would be a very mild case turned into a full blown case of the pox and my poor boy has had a tough week.

 Our Fridays are "movie on the wall" nights and this Friday was no exception as Ollie needed to take his mind off his sores. We chose Moana which is one of my favourites!

 I made us all popcorn and with C Bear being a feeder she sat for a while and fed me popcorn.

I really do love Friday afternoons....

The circus...

Last weekend we went to a circus near home, Ollie came home with a flyer in his school book and begged us to go. We dragged Che Che along with us – dad refused to come J

The kids both LOVED it- C Bear clapped the whole time and Ollie laughed at the clowns and oooh’d and aaaah’d over the trapeze artist.

I love seeing the world through the eyes of my kids.
