Perfectly made....

I like things done well, I like when things are beautiful and as close to prefect as they can get, I like when things come out pretty, easy on the eye and if its baking I like if it tastes delicious. I like clothes that fit well, I like decor that looks like our personality and I like organisation.
BUT never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that something could be as perfect as our son.... his imperfections make him perfect, his personality that is at times difficult, make him perfect, his blue eyes and cute lips, his toes and fingers, his cute little bum and those cheeks that I cannot resist kissing make him perfect because he was created by the one and only creator that could create this perfect little being!! Oliver is a very day lesson of Gods perfection and He has taught me over and over again of his love for me through Oliver!

Psalm 139:13-20New International Version (NIV)

13
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
15
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

Play date...

On Saturday morning we went to Tammy and Chris for breakfast so Lolly and Savannah could have a play date. They started off far apart, shy and coy but they ended up playing beautifully!
 I just LOVE these two!!

I mean how cute are these two....
I love the friendship blooming between these two as well as Tammy, Chris, Mike and I - babies bring people together like no one else can!

The small things...

Sometimes its the small things that make a difference....
This little DIY project was all the energy I had this weekend for.....

I love the outcome!! A few flowers and my heart is happy...

Our long weekend...

It was lovely having Monday as a holiday (and we look forward to Friday being a holiday too!) Our weekend consisted of....
Afternoon naps every day and sleepy cuddles as we woke up....
 Ice cream with dad....
 Being a biker boy!
A afternoon walk that turned into a shopping trip to buy ingredients to make the cake I have been craving for a week and a bit...
Cuddles on the couch...
Trying very hard to take a picture with my boy....
 Toy forts...
 Naked bums....
 and lazy lunches!
We loved our very chilled long weekend.... bring on the next one!!

Clean pups....

When the pups get a bath they get to sleep by us that night...  can you spot Holly?
 Timmy LOVED the snuggle....
I love a clean pup especially when they snuggle up when its cold!

Big boy...

Doesn't this child look so grown up?
Finally able to wear the shirt Uncle Ryno and Aunty Wella bought him a year ago....

Biking...

On Saturday afternoon we took Lolly to the bike track near home... he is too small for the track but enjoyed one little section...

Mike was pushing him up and down and this must have seemed like too much fun so Lolly got off his bike and started pushing it up and down too....
And then running after it as it rolled down.... and again, and again, and again!
I can see us visiting this track often in the near future! Oh man I love my boy so much!!

Nap time....

On Saturday afternoon Lolly requested his camp cot be set up for some unknown reason... and then he asked daddy for a little cuddle! Mike and Lolly watched a bit of pooh bear and then it was naptime. Again Lolly opted for a nap in his camp cot which we put in his room right next to his fully comfortable and kitted out cot...

When I went in to wake him he was smothered in croccie and his new friend Twinkle (the huge Giraffe he got for his birthday).... Oh man, what a life!!

My family....

I. Love. My. Family.

Party peak...

On Saturday we had Lolly s birthday party...  a very casual outdoor party at a bike range filled with the peeps we love the most. We enlisted the services of the amazing Jesse to take pictures HOWEVER the below are not his handy work... these were a few snapped as a peak until the good ones come :) My folks spoilt Lolly with some amazing bike biscuits...
A table full of treats...

A child who was slightly overwhelmed by everyone and kind of just wanted us for a while...

He had the most suspicious look while we all sung to him - too cute!!!!

He requested a song mid party which I had to oblige....

And he loved his Che Che all day....

I will say that he liked the flags I made for his cake more than the actual cake.....

What a lovely morning celebrating the life and joy that is Oliver!!

Best. Dad. Ever.

Mike is the best dad ever.... no jokes. He has more patience than I could ever hope to have and my Lolly adores his daddy - like ADORES adores!!!

Lolly was too lazy to walk so Mike pulled him around for a while....... my heart!!

More DIY...

Our weekend last weekend was filled with friends, food, coffee, a messy house and some DIY.
Our dresser is finished for now.... we decided on good old white for now until we have lived with it for a while then we can decide if a colour is needed! I have since added a few extra tit bits...

I also found the perfect place to hang my new wooden bunting...

In between the house work on Saturday I managed to make a delicious pie for dinner and we had some besties over eat with us....
On Sunday I put the boys back to work on mounting the lights for our bedsides...

I am truly enjoying pottering around our home and making it ours again.... we took a break when Oliver appeared in our lives but have picked it back up again thanks to a willing husband!
This weekend hopefully we will do the mounted boxes for underneath these wall moutings...
