Last post of 2017

I have decided this is going to be my last post of 2017 and its all things Christmasy.
This has been our family Christmas things of late -

Tinsel, our Christmas elf arrived and Ollie has been really enjoying him...

We also had our yearly Christmas photo with Santa, Charley was only a week or two old when we did ours last year!

Charley getting into the celebrations....

Wishing you a very merry Christmas and a wonderful new year....
Cheers to 2018!

"When I grow up...."

Ollie: Mom, when I grow up I want to be the man in the Lion Suit
Me: Ok, sure babes.

A List of things Ollie wants to be when he grows up in this order
1) A rubbish man
2) A Builder (but he cant build pools)
3) A Pizza delivery man
4) A motorbike rider
... and now the man in the lion suit....

Bless this child!

Afternoon nap...

On Saturday we had a lovely day and the best part was a little nap in the afternoon.
We put Charley down for a nap, Ollie was watching a movie on our bed and Mike was lying next to me... and I fell asleep.
I was unplanned and wonderful....

When C Bear woke up she came to watch with Mike and Ollie....  cuddle time!

Brunch...

On Saturday I cooked us a brunch and Charley loved is as she is in the "I want to feed myself" phase..... lots of fun for mom :)

She did well with her spoon and ate most of her egg.
Look at this sleepy face, C Bear had just woken up from her nap....
I cannot believe this child is already 1 year old - gosh!

A little Christmas cheer... finally!

Its been a really busy few weeks!!
On Sunday we finally got some Christmas cheer... we listened to some Christmas music on our record player while putting up our tree. Ollie and I baked Christmas cookies that he could decorate AND we had our annual photo with Santa - the best!

Tinsel, our Christmas elf also made an appearance to Ollies delight!!!
I kinda feel ready for Christmas now...

C Bear's first Christmas party...

Today was C Bear's Christmas party at her day moms...
After many many years of buying boys presents it was such a pleasure to buy a girly pink present - C Bear got her FIRST dolly - I think she looked really chuffed!

Work in progress...

Our TV broke months.... and I mean MONTHS ago. We debated over and over and over again about getting a new one of getting a projector that we can use inside and out on the patio.

We finally settled on a projector and that means that we had to clear our TV wall so we could actually use it as a projector wall...

I LOVE it... it feels like we are at the cinema - the first movie watched is a Christmas movie!

My boy...

My boy is a special little munchkin, he is shy and tends to be nervous and anxious in crowds. I am still getting to know and understand this precious boy with his little quirks.
One of his little quirks of late is NOT wanting to go to Sunday school alone - he wont let us leave him and he asks the same set of questions every Sunday.
What day is it today mom? Is it Sunday?,
Are we going to church?
Am I going to Sunday School? DO I HAVE TO GO?
I don't want to go!
Who will come with me (the answer always being me)
I want dad to come with me (every week!)
Possibly a few tears and a couple minutes of sulking.....

And once we are there he is TOTALLY FINE with me hovering around Sunday school like a crazy stalker :)

Last week Ollie won a obstacle course in his Sunday school group...

Bless this child and his weekly questions :)

My little Charley Bear...

My little Charley Bear, always happy and content! She can be a little clingy when she is tired or hungry but generally she is happy to rumble around!

She has my heart!

last week of school...

How is this week the last week of school? How is it that on Wednesday Ollie will no longer be in the Blue group and be moving onto the Orange group?
I am in a bit of denial about this year coming to an end... I LOVE this beautiful school and I am so grateful for the teachers and staff that look after my boy so beautifully.

This year we have dealt with a few bumps and come out better and stronger - our boy has blossomed under the care of his beautiful teacher and I am heart broken that we will no longer be in Miss Rawlins class BUT are very excited to sneak hugs on the way to Orange groups in the mornings next year.

These two...

I have been overwhelmed with how Ollie took to his sister - from day 1! He has never shown jealousy accept once or twice placing himself on a lap when Charley was sitting on someone he wanted attention from - he is gracious and loving towards his sister.
He shares easily, he loves making her laugh and really is such a loving big brother. He HATES it when she cries, he checks on her when its bedtime and she fusses and he lets her kiss his mouth (with a squeal of "yuck" to follow) He held her hostage for this photo.....

I adore these two so much! They make our life so much brighter!
