Dinner time...

I am so grateful for a good eater in Oliver, he loves his food - its never a fight :)
On friday afternoon we sat outside on the very untidy patio and he ate his dinner on his brand new chair that, much to my delight and only realising after I bought it, it squeaks when he sits on it - his new favourite game - sit down *squeak*, stand up, sit down *squeak* and so it goes on.....
Oliver is also getting to the point where he wants to feed himself I have started feeding him things he can eat on his own - on friday he had 3 drumsticks, 5 pieces of cheese and a peanut butter roll.

Those lips... I just wanna smooooch them!!

Our new favourite place to eat and play is on the patio.... its defnitely time for patio make-over!!

A little face lift...

NO not me, our new grocery cabinet :)

It started like this - I liked it as it was but felt it needed some colour! I want colour in my life :)
Primer....
I love how it turned out...
Fresh.... now for the inside - debating adding material to the doors so you cant see the groceries?? OR I am debating decoupageing the inside so its pretty....
Choices, choices!

Best nap...

The best naps need no dummies :)
(his little mouth with his bottom teeth crack me up!)

This is what happens when Mr plays during our weekly family breakfast date...
I mean come on, could this boy get any cuter???

The best daddy ever!!

To the best daddy ever!!
We both love you deeply and are so thankful for you!

I wouldn't choose anyone else to do life with!
We love you to infinity and beyond!!

A spoil...

Mike and I spoilt ourselves a few weekends ago with a nice full body massage and man oh man it was GOOD!
Thank you Kocamoya Spa - what a treat!!

Ollies first sleep-over at his Uncle Ryno and Aunty Wella..

Last weekend we moved back home seeing as our kitchen is almost done - we had busy saterday and sunday getting the house ready... Ryan and Wella graciously offered to have Mr Oliver sleep over on saterday night and we are so grateful! We got so much done AND we had a little alone time in our newly renovated home, it was heavenly!!
The night started off with a little crying and he took a bit longer to settle but once he settled he seemed to have slept well!

I dig his morning face!!!
They did poor Jerry's hair.... then Wella's hair and apparently Lolly just laughed!
Mr had free reign in the kitchen and stole some of their scrambled eggs...

Needless to say it went down so well and Mr came back happy and he even whispered to me "mommy, can I sleep over again soon?" (Wella, you hear that? :)
So grateful for family who love my child as much as we do - so grateful for Ry and Wella!

New stove, new griddle, steak, veggies and mushroom sauce - YES PLS!

Whatever shall we cook tonight... I am thinking lamb chops :)

Kitchen peak....

We are 90% done with our kitchen / longe revamp and man oh man I am excited!!!!!
We await the counter tops, new couch and a few little decorative pieces and then we are done!

The brown cabinet will be painted this week and when the counters are in the drawers under the sink can be put in and the dishwasher be put in its proper place.
Life is good being home with my family - tonight I am cooking a steak dinner on our new stove - pure bliss!

Sometimes the day starts like this....

A coffee date with my husband ended up in this -
Coffee all over my shirt, a wash in the sink and a quick dry on the desk with my little floor heater before everyone arrives at work.
Sigh.

The Oliver frown....

This is the Oliver frown... we adore it because it makes Oliver who he is!!

Mike sent this to me today saying "Ollie frowning in the womb. Too beautiful"
Check out that frown!!! Our child was who he was before we knew he existed - isnt that incredible!!

Psalm 139:13
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

Silly moment....

At gym last week I locked up my locker and then 1 second later realised that my key was still in my bag that is now locked in the locker....
Needless to say I felt like a bit of a silly and my lock is no longer lockable :)

Bribery...

Bribery and corruption is alive and well - Mr has been sick and the medicine he had to take is HORRIBLE - the only way to get him to take it was to offer him something he is never allowed - a oreo cookie :) The first day he was not impressed BUT when he realised a cookie was the prize for taking his medicine he was all for it! After a few days we even managed to swap the oreo for a respectable marie biscuit....
That filthy chocolate face was all worth it....

Our NEW floor...

This is our new floor - I LOVE it. We popped in just as it was stained so it was still drying. Today they seal it with a gloss sealant....
How gets this exicted about a brown floor? Me it seems :)
Next is the finishing touches on the kitchen - tiles off, wall painted, ceiling skimmed, plumbing chased to the  wall, new trellidoor, new oven/stove installed....
I am SO SO excited... got so many ideas to finish this space with colour....
All good things come to those who wait - we have waited long enough - let it be done :)

Friday playtime...

Fridays are my favourite as I get home early and get to spend some special time with Mr Lolly Bean.
We enjoyed some garden time...
 A little soccer...
The ball was thown "by accident" down the little bank (Mr's new favourite game - then mommy has to rescue it)... so I sent him off to look for it himself which he LOVED!!

 I couldn't help taking a few selfies :)

I love afternoons like this!
