Muddy Princess 2017

All I can say is it was SO MUCH FUN! My littlies came to cheer me on...

This was the last obstacle - the best one!!!
Cannot wait for the next muddy princess!!

Little thief...

She is quick and stealthy and before you know it she has stolen your food off the table....
She moves so quickly now, she pulls herself up onto everything!

Here she was grabbing Ollies toast

My baby girl isn't a baby anymore!

Birches fun day...

Yesterday was the Birches fun day - this is our official second year helping and it was lots of fun!
I offered to do face painting for the kiddies and our very limited selection of choices worked wonders!

The amazing Mrs E let me paint her face - she is the most precious headmaster of the Birches and works SO hard for our children. I am eternally grateful for everything she does for the kids at Birches.

My boy loving the car racer... his best game.
Sadly I was busy all morning with face painting so I didn't get much time to actually play with Ollie or Charley - Mike was wonderful in looking after them both.

Busy weekend

Our weekend past was a very busy one, lovely but busy and a bit tiring.
We did however accomplish quite a lot which makes my heart happy!

I started spray painting our new/old chairs... but ran out of paint! I will have to resume next weekend!

We also finally decided to just do a quick fix regarding the Caravan flooring - I have my eye on some lovely flooring but its a bit costly so we will do that at some point but for now this flooring cost us R195 and its all done and looking fresh and clean. Mike did an amazing job installing it on sunday afternoon while I got some quality time with the kiddies!

Charley and I joined daddy at some point and we aired out the awining and played on the grass.

We have precious friends over on Saturday and Ollie helped me make all the pizza.... flour everywhere - I mean everywhere BUT so worth the mess!
And we brought out some old toys that Charley has never seen (such delight in her face) and that Ollie hasnt played with in a while...

All in all a very good, constructive weekend!
Cheers to the next one!

Snack time...

Ollie loves to snack in the bath - probably because by the time bath time rolls around he remembers its nearly dinner time and his tummy tell him he is hungry. Charley now decided snacking in the bath is a very good idea - especially because it makes her biscuits nice and soggy so they go down a bit easier... These kids are just absolute joy! I might start snacking in the bath too....

Slow starts

I love a slow start to Saturday - especially when the sun is shining on the patio and the kiddies are happy (which they normally are when they wake up)

The sunshine is good for my soul!

A little DIY

We are been pottering a bit with a few things...

We put our new fridge and Microwave into the caravan
On Saturday I paint the back board (where the old fridge was removed) and hopefully sunday Mike will get some of the new vinal flooring in.
I also got a new cutlery bucket and some very cute decor.... I could honestly shop for the caravan all day!
We also found these chairs for the patio at hospice last weekend - I am super chuffed as they are so comfy and were a very good deal. Watch this space as we are going to paint and recover them soon...

Happy days!

Bath time

How is my little girl big enough to sit in the nifty bath basket we used for Ollie??

This was Ollie as a similar age - and look how big he is now!!!

A hard weekend....

This weekend, to be honest, isn't one I will look back on and remember fondly. It was hard and long and heartbreaking and I am glad it is forever over.
We said goodbye to mom.

But in all of this we managed to share a few happy moments.
My girl wore her first dress to Nan's memorial and looked like a little angel....

My boy surprised us all and stood up with his daddy as his daddy said goodbye to his mom. He held Mikes leg, looked up and him lovingly and was the support he needed to go through with his speech. My shy boy, my boy who doesn't like crowds, places he doesn't know and people he doesn't know stood up in the front of a church and held Mike while he mourned his mom.
This I will forever remember.
It is embedded into my heart.

I am glad the weekend has come and gone but I do cherish the few pics that were taken and the little memories that were formed.
