A little baking...

On the weekend we did a little baking, Lolly helped (well..... not really helped but messed alot and ate all the left over batter)... BUT the brownies were delicious.

We had Kim, Ross and the twins over for a playdate, it was really lovely!!

I love tea dates, I love baking and I love the lefovers even more :)

Conscious cafe..

On Saturday we tried a new place - Conscious cafe - they are a vegetarian cafe and we were NOT disappointed. Their wraps were amazing, their juices so lovely and fresh and their coffee was the perfect warm drink on the cold Saturday morning.
Lolly had a carrot, apple and orange juice and some nice chippies.

I am keen to take my mom back because I know she will love the food there.... and hopefully next time the weather will be better so we can sit outside.

New toy...

This one has been enjoying his new "toy" from Aunty Jayde - never mind the ultra cool dolphin to house all of his toys.... he just wants the bath jug!

It just shows,  simple is always a good start - we have seen countless times that Oliver will choose the simplest toys always! Thank you Aunty Jayde for his new jug!

We were so spoilt last weekend, we received a package from Aunty Jayde and boy were we excited! This child of mine gets excited when there is anything to open, just like his momma!

He loves his gown, he puts it on and then takes it off and shouts "again!!" and so it goes on....
 Enjoying a special biscuit...
 ... and some sweeties.

He ask me if we can "read this book" - I had to explain to him that that isnt a book, its a HUGE chocolate!

 So many treats!!!!
And so many special things for Lolly!
 Our treats drawer is FULL!
and our bathroom finally looks so lovely and clean with Lollys new whale toy storage!
Thank you my precious friend for spoiling us so so much, we feel so loved by you guys!!

His precious Che Che...

The bond between these are two is the sweetest - he knows he cant get away with much with his Che Che however he also knows that Che Che will make believe with him, have tea parties, read to him, teach him so many things,  play all day with him and loves him SO much - what a lucky boy!

Lauren Galloway photography...

Last week my mom took Lolly for a little holiday special photo shoot... I am so thrilled with how these ones came out!!
Apparently it was NOT easy to get this one to cooperate and smile but thanks for Che Che's hard work we managed to get a few gems here!!

I love this last one - he had had enough and his frown appeared! I adore these pictures, they capture Lollys personality to a T, frown and all!

Happiness is...

Happiness is a milkshake after breakfast.
We recently got an areochinno which makes that most amazing froth.... Oliver always helps me make coffee and then steals my froth so I thought making him a little milkshake would be such a treat...
He LOVED it and spent ages eating the froth out of his cup! Who knew hot chocolate and milk would become such a special treat!

My favorites are dirty chocolaty smiles!!

My sous-chef...

My little sous-chef helped me make pizza on the weekend, and by that I mean he stole my rolling pin and ate raw dough after salting it :)
I think so soon I will spend an afternoon with this little guy and let him make a whole pizza on his own.....

He kept dropping his dough :)

Oliver loves helping and cooking - He will soon be baking and cooking with me!

Some days...

This morning was one of "those" mornings... my goodness! Coming off a perfect evening with our little one, no fuss at bedtime, a complete little pleasure - HOWEVER THIS MORNING was a different story - a complete meltdown for no apparent reason. Nothing we could do would calm him down - he threw his dummy at us and even hit me in the face - I lost it - I was so mad! I am NOT a fan of mornings like this at all, I take it personally and get so offended. I still have no idea what went down... honestly, not a clue! Then all of a sudden he switched and all was right with the world - a prompted "sorry daddy" and "sorry mommy" and his exponential meltdown was a thing of the past. I am still reeling as to what the heck happened!! Needless to say I had to unwind somehow before going to work so a tea and pinterest date was in order.
Luckily the little spot that Mike and I sometimes go to for a breakfast before work was open and I took 45 minutes to get my mind right before heading to work. It  was so needed and helpful! Some days.... sigh.

Friday relax...

On Friday Lolly went straight to my folks as he was sleeping over so I had the afternoon to myself... I made myself some coffee and then had a little nap - heaven!!

We then got all dressed up and was spoilt with a dinner out. We even went out for cocktails afterwards - just us, it was such a lovely evening with Mike!!
