LONG day...

Yesterday was a long day..... it started off with us waiting in line to renew our drivers licensees!

an hour and a half later our drivers licences were sorted and off to work we went....
Fully day at work, shopping and then home to have dinner with my family and my cousin Clint who was visiting for one night!

 Take aways were on the cards at it was much easier! And the pizza was so lovely!

All the while I was trying a new recipe for "new york" cheese cake because we are having some friends over for dinner and i wanted to try this for pudding!
I did not however realize that it had to cook overnight before eating so i had to do it yesterday....

I had to make and bake the crust first....

Then i baked the filling, cooled for a while, make the topping and in the fridge it went!! I love how it turned out - first cheese cake, lets hope it taste good :)

Got to bed close to midnight so a nap is looking really good now!!!

Looking so forward to dinner tonight with friends..... always a lovely time!!!

Summer...

Summer is here and its HOT!!!
Two things helping me get by....

I have been hopping in the jucuzzi every day after work to cool down....

 And anyone remember Fruti Flows - reminds me of being a kid :)

Its only going to get hotter and as luck would have it our aircon isn't working - thankfully in 2 sleeps someone is coming to fix it so I can enjoy the cold again!!!

Weekend chill...

This weekend was the last weekend before we both started work so we took it easy... Our mornings started off later than we have slept in all holiday and it was lovely! On Saturday morning mike took me for breakfast - I got ready first and as i waited for him to get ready Timmy and I watched some series.....

 A cooked breakfast really is our favorite on the weekends!YUM!

Then yesterday Mike cleaned the jacuzzi for me....

 While we all watched :)

and this is what i see while i lie in the jucuzzi....

Back to work today..... holiday is OVER!

26 weeks.

26 weeks.... the weeks are going by so quickly!!

 Timmy may look chuffed about wearing them but he really wasnt!!

 Baby has been so spoilt its unbelievable.... my gosh!! Luckiest baby in the world!!

Hello beautiful bookshelf!

My dad popped over yesterday quick to help Mike put up baby's bookshelf! I was so proud to see that my dad showed mike what to do BUT mike did it all :)

 The spirit is my dads favorite tool - my mom even jokes that she'll put a spirit level on my dads grave one day :)

 I laughed cause my dad brought his tools over in a basket :):) Like little red riding hood!

 Tims was nervous at first by all the news but then he became brave and started barking at the drill!

 This dynamic duo made my dreams come true - i LOVE this bookshelf!

 Ahhhh happiness is -

 Even Holly hunkered down and enjoyed the bookshelf full of kiddies books :)

 I am so happy how babys room is looking - seriously makes my heart happy!

 Another thing I am super proud of us this - i made this cot night frill or whatever you call it all on my own! NO help from anyone....... now we can store stuff under the cot and no one will ever know!!!

 I find myself waking into this room every time I walk past..... soon there will be a beautiful little baby in this cot! My word.......... cant wait to meet baby Brits!!

Happy new year - here is to an awesome 2013!!
We started the new year off with dinner with the folks, a couple games of rummy cub and then home to camp out in the lounge to welcome in 2013!!

After a late night and then an awesome sleep in and some tea and "new girl" in the morning we went to our lovely friend "aunty Lynn" as it is her birthday today and we went to a big family lunch with her and friends and family! It was so lovely seeing everyone again and the perfect way to start the new year.
It was raining when we left and the cooler weather was very much welcomed!

We have LOTS to look forward to this year..... BABY IS COMING!! and celebrating 7 years married to the best man ever to name only two!!
This year is definitely a family year and we cannot wait!!
