At home sick.

Oh gosh, today I am home sick - runny nose, tight chest, sore throat, post nasal drip!
I hate taking sick days, it just doesn't feel right you know BUT there are times when its needed. The worst part is I was awake at 6:30am and I couldn't go back to sleep and I only managed a 20 nap so far today - my throat being sore and niggly wont let me sleep! I have been VERY grumpy the last few days as i haven't had a full night sleep since Wednesday night - poor mike, hes had to put up with lots of grump from me!
I have finally surrendered and went to get myself some meds now and this is the temperature that was waiting for me in my car!

GOSH! Got some tablets and some cough mixture that has now made my tongue numb which i hate BUT I am hoping nap time now will be a success! While I was out I also felt like something to drink so i got myself a Schwepps Dry Lemon which i am SO looking forward to... its just in the freezer getting COLD! I am catching up on watching the Harry Potter movies - busy watching "Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix"

30 seconds...

Last night we went to Ruthie and Jurgens for some Mauritian food and what was suppose to be a DVD evening turned into a 30 seconds evening!!! MAN we laughed so much mike and i both came home with tummy aches!! We played the first round with Ruthie, Jurgens and Manon on one team...

 and then Thula, Jurie, Me and Mike on the other team (we won the first round)

We then swapped teams - girls against the boys - we won (but the boys were nice to us so that helped!)

 After 30 seconds we all crowded around the laptop with tea or coffee and watched funny video clips!

LOVED LAST NIGHT and had so much fun!!!

Last night went to Kims and Ross for a braai and enjoyed a lovely social chilled evening together! Ross (and mike) manned the braai...

This morning at church we had a ladies meeting - the "theme" was refresh and i came away feeling very much refreshed! It was so lovely! I am always amazed by the decor, time and effort that goes into a morning like this.... the decor especially was awesome!!

 So much effort was put into this morning, made me feel very much loved as a woman of our church!!

 We all had some delicious brunch and sat round chatting for a while before it all began - the food and drinks were so lovely!!

 What they did this time was have 4 of the woman from our church share their lives and testimonies with us - what a bundle of wisdom they handed out - oh my gosh!! I was so convicted in so many areas... this will definitely be on my heart this week and for a while...
On the way out we each for a homemade jar of foot scrub - smells amazing!!!

 It is always a very special time when ladies come together in Gods home to share Him with each other!

Now we're off to have dinner with Ruthie, Jurgens, the boys, Manon (back from Mauritius - yay) Thula and a couple other peeps - Manon is cooking us Mauritian food and we're getting DVD's!
We're in charge of the pudding and i have no idea what to take - mini magnums perhaps?

Our new (old) table...

Today after work as i do from time to time i popped into hospice to see what treasures i could find.... and i found an awesome coffee table... i love supporting places like hospice - you have to get your hands dirty and dig around but we have really found some awesome thing! My most favorite thing is my coke chalk board that i always use... also recently i got this groovy side table for only R40.

as i said you have to dig and get your hands dirty - this is the hospice shop...

 i LOVE this, we have no place for it but i just love the style of it - i can imagine it in a nice gloss green or red as a feature in a bedroom!

 Our new table nestled in amongst the rest of the junk ....

 i saw the table as i walked in and wanted it straight away so in order to "book" while i browsed some more i had to remove the sticker and i ended up walking around with the sticker on my hand for the rest of my day without realizing it.

I also found some awesome records to go with the rest of our collection - now all we need is our record player to be fixed - COME ON!!! I took it in in January and still waiting for one of the parts - gosh!! Patience is NOT my strong point BUT then again neither is fixing a record player!

 I am SUPER keen to hear why this is censored - i can only imagine it cant be that bad seeing as it was a long time ago... but we'll see!

 Got this for Mike - he tells me about this movie all the time and how he loved it as a kid...

and i dig it!!! Love the size and the style.... ahhhh a job well done!!

now the question is do we paint it and if so what colour? do we stain it? do we just varnish it? do we do something more creative with it??
Ideas would be awesome!!

Regional prayer...

Tonight was an awesome night - we had a regional prayer meeting in our area for our area! Homegroups from our area met together to pray for our specif area, it was an awesome time of prayer!! I was a bit heart sore that not more people attended BUT it was still a lovely time with God crying out to him to transform our area into a area where everyone loves and worships Him!
We met at the queensburgh caravan park....

 We had some monkeys that wanted to join us :)

After prayer seeing as it was already lateish we popped out to Mimmos for some pizza - i LOVE their chandeliers - its made up of Polaroid pictures!!

 Mike and i shared a shandy.... delicious and refreshing!

 we were starving by the time our pizza arrived so it went down very well!!

On the way out we stopped for a little pudding...cant beat a creamy ice-cream cone!!

I scream... you scream... we all scream.... for ice-cream :)
