"the promise"

This poem I read to Michael just before I came down the isle on our wedding day!
Mike is doing a wedding speech for his good mate this month and is quoting this poem... he sent me the draft of his speech and when i read this peom it took me straight back to our wedding day.
The poem reads:
"Across the years I will walk with you -
in deep green forests; on shores of sand:
and when our time on earth is through,
in heaven, too, you will have my hand"
